Building an Expansive Future for Conservation
Turning a trusted conservation partner into a brand built for growth. Brandt Information Services, the SaaS leader in outdoor licensing and conservation services for state park and wildlife agencies, had earned a reputation for innovation that its brand and website no longer reflected. Our goal was to present the organization with the clarity and credibility a roster of state agency partners expects, across every touchpoint, from the first search result to the procurement shortlist.
Fifteen4 partnered with Brandt to articulate its unique value and deliver a comprehensive brand refresh and new website, built to serve as a foundation for ongoing engagement with state agencies, partners, and prospective talent.
7x average engagement time per user, sustained one year after launch
the approach
We focused on five key areas to turn Brandt’s vision into a working brand system:
Messaging & Positioning
We developed an authentic and ownable brand messaging framework rooted in Brandt’s values and differentiators, creating clear, consistent language to guide both internal culture and external communications. This foundation helped Brandt articulate its mission, vision, and market position with clarity and confidence.

Visual Identity
Building on Brandt’s existing equity, we evolved the logo mark and logotype and overhauled the core brand elements: typography, color palette, design language, and brand assets. The result is a modern, cohesive visual system that honors Brandt’s legacy in land and resource conservation while positioning the company as the forward-thinking SaaS leader it has become.
The identity’s most distinctive element is its use of landscape paintings from public-domain museum collections, including The Met. These works are themselves acts of preservation, capturing the character of the natural world and safeguarding it across time. Paired with Brandt’s mission, they express a shared purpose: honoring, supporting, and sustaining the natural world.
UX Strategy
We reimagined the site architecture around Brandt’s two priority audiences: prospective government agency partners and future employees. Informed by stakeholder interviews, analytics, SEO goals, and competitive analysis, the new content structure prioritizes intuitive navigation and creates room for future thought leadership, social proof, and recruitment content.
Gated case studies became a distinct UX solution. Agency-specific success stories give prospects the proof they need during evaluation, while the gate gives Brandt’s team visibility into who is engaging and with what.
web design
With the new brand identity, overhauled UX strategy, and performance goals established we designed a custom, responsive website that feels unmistakably Brandt. From the homepage to deeper service pages and gated case study landing pages, every detail was crafted to deliver both brand storytelling and practical clarity. The design system also meets the maintenance needs of the Brandt web and marketing teams allowing for just the right amount of content editing without risk of inadvertently breaking the brand (or web design).
web development
We built the custom website on WordPress using Hyper15, our proprietary front-end design and page-building tool, which provides a flexible, user-friendly interface for creating and managing professionally designed web pages without extensive development expertise. Optimized for both desktop and mobile, the site is designed for flexibility and scalability, including a gated content hub to support ongoing marketing and thought leadership initiatives. We also provided CMS training and support to empower the client’s team to manage content confidently and ensure a smooth transition post-launch.
the results
The rebrand and website launch delivered measurable gains in traffic, engagement, and audience quality, and the most important of those gains held a full year later.
performance highlights
- +67% active users
- +57% new users
- +117% sessions
- +124% page views
- +46% organic search sessions
- +138% organic social sessions
- +70% referral sessions
Engagement That Lasted
One year after launch, the site continues to outperform the pre-launch baseline:
- 7x average engagement time per active user, from 4 seconds pre-launch to 36 seconds at launch and 28 seconds a year later
- Engagement events rose from roughly one in every eight sessions to more than one per session
- Referral traffic nearly tripled on a daily basis, moving from Brandt's fourth-largest channel to its second, and is still climbing twelve months out
- +48% 30-day active users (4K to 5.9K)
- +37% daily active users and nearly +50% daily sessions
These gains point to a site that now holds attention and earns links from partners, rather than one visitors pass through.
From Job Board to Sales Tool
Before launch, the Careers page was the most-viewed page on brandtinfo.com, out-drawing the homepage. A year after launch, the homepage leads by a wide margin, with licensing solutions and agency partnership pages now among the most visited. The site is doing the job it was designed for: introducing Brandt to buyers.
